How to Install Lace Frontals wig and top closure

I have many lace frontal and top closrue so far, but many cusotmer ask that how to install the lace front and top closure, Understanding the proper application of a lace frontal is essential to aesthetics and safety. Otherwise, the process may lead to hair loss and skin and/or wig damage. Unlike traditional wigs a lace frontal, commonly referred to as a "lace front wig," features a mesh of Swiss or French lace constructed along its front perimeter. The hair along the perimeter of the wig is hand-tied onto the cheap lace wigs, allowing it to emulate a natural hairline. In addition, specially made adhesives are applied directly beneath the hairline of the wig in order to secure the lace frontal along the scalp.Secure your hair so it lies flat underneath the wig. This can be achieved by two methods:

Cornrow braid your hair. Take the skin end of your rat tail comb and part your hair into vertical sections one by one. Part in a straight line beginning from the middle of your hairline on back to the nape of your neck (how small you want your braids is determined by the width or amount of hair in between each part). Take three sections of hair left in between these parts and braid the hair into a cornrow. Repeat the process until all your hair is securely braided. Place the wig cap over your hair.
Tightly gather your loose hair. Comb or brush the hair back flat and away from your face. Pin the hair as you see fit. Place the wig cap over your hair. Tuck any loose strands of hair underneath the wig cap.

Wet a gauze pad generously with rubbing alcohol. Rub it along your hairline wherever adhesive will be applied so as to cleanse away dirt, oil and debris that may be on your skin. Allow the skin to air dry completely.

Apply scalp protectant as directed along your hairline wherever hair adhesive will be applied on the skin. Allow it to air dry completely.

Trace lightly where you would like the glueless full lace wigs to rest, using a makeup pencil, as you do not want the edge of the lace front wig to lie directly over the hair at the hairline. To reasonably recreate the appearance of a natural hairline, trace no further than 1/2 inch away from your actual hairline.

Trim off any excess lace left around the hairline of the lace front wig carefully, using scissors. Cut all the lace off directly up to the hairline of the lace frontal.

Apply a thin coat of adhesive bond along the edge of the Lace frontal and top closure(this prevents wig cap from slipping backward while underneath the wig), in between the actual and traced hairlines, and along the nape of the neck. Do not apply the lace front on wet glue or it won't secure properly. Allow "soft bond" adhesives to set or get "tacky" to the touch. However, "hard bond" adhesives do not require drying time as they dry immediately upon application.

To use adhesive tape cut the tape to the desired length. Firmly press the tape directly beneath the hairline of the lace front wig along your forehead and the nape of your neck. Allow small gaps in between the strips of tape so moisture can escape. Allow the tape to set for 5 to 10 minutes. Peel off the back of the tape to expose the adhesive.

Position the U part lace wigs on your head starting from the back and it lifting forward over your head. Keep the wig slightly elevated over the scalp so the wig won't slide down onto the adhesive once you've reached your forehead. Line up the perimeter edge of the wig over the desired hairline or tape. Glue users press down along the entire perimeter of the lace frontal so as to secure it in place. Tape users press and hold the entire perimeter of the lace frontal for up to one minute.

Tie the scarf securely around your hairline to allow the wig to thoroughly bond to the adhesive on your skin. If the lace front is made of human or heat resistant hair you may sit under a dryer as long as needed to assist the bonding process -- this is optional. Do not wash or vigorously manipulate the lace front wig for 24 hours.

 firstly wow you are so stunning I love all the cheap lace wigs :) I want to make a full wig myself I am white though (english) I do have curly hair but it is wavy from the root and curls at the ends. If I do get it in some kind of afro it is far too heavy and falls out. Can you suggest what kind of curl/hair I should buy? I dunno you dont really see many fully white girls with the kind of hair youre using. I would hate it if it looked like I had one of those novelty afros on.

The best lace wig is so platinum blond and just the very top is brown. So tell me how do that even remotely looks close to phillys or even the wig before it was corrected! The wig wasnt even 16inches. I spent a lil change on this wig. It was an investment. I waited a month for this mess and now probably even longer to get my money since i will have to send it back.

just got my custom order as well and they sent the same wig out as yours. Im highly upset because they was suppose to send me a picture of the wig once it was done however they endend up shipping it out. I was spooked after i was reading these comments so i wanted to make sure my  cheap lace wig looked like phillys. Man this look worser than the bumble bee mess!

this wig has me intrigued. I'm REALLY picky about wigs and this one looks like with some good tweaking it could be really natural looking. I know you've done some work on the wig, but I would suggest tweezing the hairline more (especially around the temples) and thinning the top and crown a bit ... it still looks a little thick there. Placing the wig behind the hairline and using your own baby hair makes for a more natural look as well.
I just ordered one slk top glueless full lace wigs for the first time from Best Lace Wigs and have to say I'm disappointed. I ordered 16inches Chinese Virgin and the wig I received is 16inches in the back but 14inches in the front. Also the lace is not as undetectable as my other full lace wigs. Not sure I want to spend my money again taking a chance on their product.

.. well my first one,i felt like it was my fault it was my first one! but then i read alot of ppl had problems with cap 08 shedding the thing was i never combed mine.. i bonded it once for mardi gras and the whole time i kept it braided up! never brushed it. i loved it big and it was sw084.. the wig just shed from sitting hair would be every where. it was a gift so i asked gurus, about cap 09 they claimed oh very little shedding i love it! so 2 weeks ago i tried again

but at 14 months you have to admit it is very short and hair grows and average of .5 inches a month. No matter what type it is she SHOULD of had around 13 inches at the most when straight. and we don't really know it could've been the color and braids. They can be fatal if not done correctly But I will give the girl this, she's getting there and now its probably way longer being 2 years later
If you watched closely, you would see that my hair way dyed AFTER the bald spot photo was taken. My hair is quite healthy and this video was made quite a while ago. Dying my hair red would also make no difference. Dying is dying. Please notice that there are different hair channels and no one's hair is the same. My hair is just fine.
Assuming that my hair should grow as fast as yours isn't correct. My hair has always grown fairly slow. I only dyed my hair once and my hair did not receive any damage from it. I only braided my hair twice, not often. Even with the braids, it was only a small section that was braided. The bald spots is where my hair is actually thin. I have thin hair (fine strands and low density).

I know this has nothing to do with what you're talking about.. well the cheap lace wigs you're reviewing.. but a comment you made kinda made me nervous.. i just ordered some Glueless silk top lace wigs.. in the malaysian wavy.. that hair isn't plastic-like, is it? waaah! I'm nervous now, cuz I'm natural.. and definitely can't bled with plastic things.
at the time i ordered the lace wigs for black women, there was a bundle special you get 3 different lengths. The hair was alright but i wouldnt reccomend it save your money and get something better after 3 months it shed like no tomorrow i mean i had hair everywhere.
You'd better to try the flat iron on your best lace wigs, but you can still have a bulky looking install with tiny braids if you don't know what you're doing.. My glueless silk top lace wig are always flat though because of the braiding pattern it doesn't really matter how big the braids are as long as they are not ridiculously huge. But thanks.

Without a strategic braid pattern, the sew-in would not lay flat, nor would there be a place to sew the hair onto. The net flattens the braids also while giving extra security to the thread (the thread is still being sew to the braid as well). Big braids create lumps while extra tiny braids create too much tension on the scalp from the thread. For this reason, braid patterns have to be precise and are necessary for any sew-in.
